Weekend Fun #2

Can't believe that "ber" months is here already... and soon it will be Christmas. Time to get my Christmas list ready.

After our trip to Panorama Mountain Village, that same weekend, we made another trip to West Edmonton Mall and Jasper National Park.

Today is the first day of school for my kids and they had the perfect summer despite the un-cooperating weather. And it's peace and quiet time for again at home until 4pm.

These photos could have been a perfect reflection if not for the cloudy sky.

Keeping in touch

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of faceVsion Technology USA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Getting in touch with your love ones, from around the globe, gets easier with the innovative technology we have today. I just came back from a vacation in the Philippines, and during this time, I have gotten close to one of my sister-in-law. It's not my first time to meet her, but we just never had time for bonding as she was always busy with kids and work. This time though, they took time out to spend a weekend with us at Subic Bay and we had a blast. And my kids get to spend more play time with their cousins too.

Now that we are back, we missed them very much. We don't have any blood relatives here, and though we have friends we considered family, family will always be family.

Fv Now, we use video conferencing to keep in touch. Emails and Facebook are just not enough in keeping in touch. We wanted to hear their voice and see them like they are just in front of us.

I am so thankful for faceVsion Technology USA for coming up with HD Video Conferencing solution. All we need is a Google Gmail account and FV Express Combo, and we can make HD video calls over the internet. It is the best! The quality is superb! It is also perfect for small or medium size businesses.

FV touchcam is available through faceVision on line store. It is definitely money well spent! Get one for yourself and for your family or for your business and stay in touch with class.

We've been here for 4 years and last July was the first time we've been to the Stampede Parade. Because this parade is mostly about horses, the smell of the horses' poops are just all over the place. That's the only thing I hate about the Stampede. Other than that, we had a blast.

This was part of the parade. Perfect for this week's theme, right?

Weekend Fun

What kind of weekend fun do you have lined up?

We just came back from a 3-day road trip to Panorama Mountain Village in B.C. It was also a perfect timing to get away from the smokey air here [due to the forest fire in BC]... to a perfect blue sky in Panorama.

I love the company of this family, they are just ready to pose for me. They are the perfect family models one could have.

Here's some FUN photos from our trip.

Arnel Pineda

I don't know who Arnel Pineda is until he came for a concert and my husband insisted that we watched his concert. Since I don't know him, I bought the cheapest tickets and brought my son's binocular so we could get a better view. But we didn't really need it, since we were able to move from the upper balcony to the stage area and even got close enough to have my picture taken with Arnel. I enjoyed the concert very much since he sang a lot of my 80s favorite songs! You rock Arnel and good luck to your foundation.

Business cards

My personal tax client base is growing each year and last tax season I got some personalized business cards. But since I ordered them in a site that offers it for free, I have limited choices in terms of designs, text size, colors and fonts.

For this coming tax season, I think it's high time that I invest money and check out PrintDirectForLess.com for their business cards printing packages. I want my client base to grow more.

What is your popular blog post?

My top posts:

  1. Kadiliman/Darkness. This post yielded over 100 comments!
  2. Reflections. Just perfect timing for me!
  3. White Water Rafting. Fun, fun, fun!
  4. Blue. Peaceful scenery.
  5. Red. Not my bedroom, but a friend's master bedroom. It's just how they bought the house.

Now, as a birthday gift to my daughter, I decided to paint her room. And these are the colors that she chooses. What do you think?

I need a new couch

My leather couch is ruined! My kids just don't know how to use it properly and now there's line all over the couch. It just doesn't look cool anymore. And this is the couch in our living room. I think it's time to look at some modern couches. I need to save up enough money so that I can buy a replacement soon. Ad bring the old one down to the basement.

Control Freak

I'm a control freak. I control the number of hours my kids get to play with their DSi, Wii and computer online games. I hide them around my room, in different places, but I am running out of places to hide. My kids are now in the habit of looking around my room to look for their games when I'm not around. So now I am contemplating of putting door locks in my bedroom so they can't get in and out anymore.

Window shopping

My family was at the Mall yesterday, the whole day. We went bowling, mini golf and swimming. Yes, the mall was huge enough to contain a lot of theme parks. While walking around, my husband suddenly blurt out that Victoria Secret is now open. He rarely went shopping with me. I just disregarded his comment since I don't buy lingerie at Victoria Secret. I did buy lingerie there once, as a bridal shower gift for a friend of ours.

Relocation

My husband's cousins in New Jersey has been talking about moving to North Carolina. They are both nurses and on one of their family trip, they decided to go to North Carolina. While there, they met fellow nurses and was convinced to apply and hear what the hospital have to offer. They did and they got a good offer. So now, they are looking to sell their house in New Jersey and is currently looking at Outer Banks homes. And they are doing this online only! I wish them both the best.

Forex trading software

I've always been interested in Forex trading. I like the fast pace of the job. I like numbers. Sad to say, I ended up working in a credit card company. Now that I'm looking for another part time job, I'm thinking of purchasing the Forex trading software and see if it's meant to be for me. What do you think? Do I dare?

HCG injections

Weight loss. Weight loss. Weight loss! How am I going to achieve this with all our road trips and picnics this summer? It was so hard to tell my friends that I had enough, or that I am on diet and already ate more than I should have. Maybe I should just stop going out with friends.

My friend's friend told me about HCG injections Austin. She had been using this for 3 months already and so far so good, she said.

My son, the driver

Just posing for the picture... Unfortunately, they are still too young to drive the ATVs.

My son though was able to drive the buggy, with me as his passenger and guide. And he loved it! Another first for him...

Pocket size projector

My husband used to give presentations to customers and fellow colleagues. And this gave him the opportunity to travel, a lot. Whenever I'm free, I would go with him to different places. His only complain was that he needs to carry with him a laptop and a huge projector.

These days though, the MPro 120 pocket projector is perfect for people who travel on business. It is small enough to fit in one's pocket or briefcase, and yet it can project an image from 8"-50". Read about the projector reviews if you don't trust me.

Scanner

My friend's teenage daughter started working this summer at the grocery store. It's her first "real" job! And her stories were quite intriguing from her point of view. From rude and aggressive customers to happy, jolly ones to non-stop crying kids...

She loved the barcode scanner the most, she said it makes her life very, very easy. And at times, she felt like she's just playing and goofing around.

Beach Wedding

I attended my first beach wedding last June. The reason why we made an unplanned trip to the Philippines.

The wedding was awesome! The weather and the sunset was perfect!

The only thing that I didn't like is the people in the background in all my pictures. Because the setting is by the beach front, there will always be strangers roaming around and trying to take a peek at the wedding. And no matter where you turn, you can never get rid of them.

I don't even know if the official photographer is going to Photoshop his photos to get rid of those unwanted people in the background. If he did, it's going to take a lot of hours! I know I don't have the patience for it.

Congratulations to the newly weds!

I cropped this picture to get rid of the unwanted people on the left side,
but couldn't do it on the right side without cutting off the bouquet.

Still got unwanted people in the background :-(

Linens and beddings

How often do you change your towels and linens? I mean dispose of the old ones and buy new ones? I still have the linens/comforter that I got from our wedding, 15 years ago. I rarely use it, but it just have sentimental value to me. I just bought new towels 2 years ago, so now it's high time I buy new linens like the matouk ones.

Handyman

My husband is definitely not a handyman. But he got lots of different types of tools, paint brush and even mechanix gloves in his tool box. I don't understand why every man should have their own tool box, and yet, he prefers to call Mr Rooter to fix our leaking sink or hooked up our BBQ grill. So when I decided to paint my daughter's room, I was left to do it all by myself!

Making changes

Yesterday I started painting my daughter's room. It's almost done now and I am not really happy with my messy and sloppy painting. Oh well, what can I do, I'm no expert. [Pictures to follow].

Anyway, I am also thinking of changing the shades in my room into a bamboo one. I need something darker. I found this discount shades site and the deal is really good. It's tempting...

Tools etal

When it comes to tools, I am really clueless. I can never remember all their names. I can't believe how many size of screw drivers is out there. Anyway, normally when one thinks of spring-loaded devices, like Push-Fit Plungers and Clamping pins and spring plungers, Medieval Catapults come to mind. Losing weight

Losing weigh is hard. I feel like with all my dieting, I am just losing 1 pound a week. To date, I've lost about 12 lbs already. My doctor told me that I needed to lose at least 20 lbs!
