A passenger came through the screening line and I was called to check his back. Looking at the monitor, we detected 2 bottles of alcohol. So I ask the passenger: "Do you have alcohol in your bag?"
Passenger: "NO!" with a big protest. "I don't have alcohol in my bag." Note that his voice was really loud.
Me: "Then what's in the bottle, sir?"
Passenger: "Oh... those are wine... you mean, I can't bring wine?"
DUH!
Me: "Alcohol and wine are liquids, and any liquid over 100ml are not allowed."
Other passengers behind him were just grinning...
I love my job on days like this...
Joke time....
A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold; the bird froze up and fell to the ground in a large field. While it was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on it. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, it began to realize how warm it was.
The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.
A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him!
The morals of this story are:
Not everyone who drops shit on you is your enemy.
Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
And when you're in deep shit, keep your mouth shut!
Off to the Bahamas
A friend of mine just invited me to join her and her daughter on a 4 days / 3 nights Bahamas cruise, for FREE! Who could resist such an offer? All I need to pay is for my airfare to and from Miami and hotel for 2 nights in Miami before the cruise.
So today, I am off to Miami. Flight is at 10:25AM. And for the first time in 12 years, I am going on a holiday without my husband and my two kids. I have gone on holiday without my husband but never without of two kids. So this is a first for me! I will be back next Wednesday.
This is going to be lots of fun!!!
Off for the holidays!
My 1 week vacation just became a 13-day vacation. How did it happened? Well, my working days are Sundays to Wednesdays. Today was my last working day for the year!
I gave away my shift tomorrow (Dec 18, Wednesday), then I have my regular days off from Thursday to Saturday. My official vacation leave starts on Dec 22 (Sunday) and ends on Dec 29 (Saturday). And because my vacation falls on 2 holidays (Christmas and Boxing day), I got 2 extra days off which will be applied on Sunday (Dec 30th) and Monday (Dec 31st)... that's 13 days of no work!
To my co-workers, I will see you all next year (Jan 1st)!

Finally, after years of contemplating, I decided to go ahead and purchased my first set of "Little Village." And hopefully, each year, I will buy new ones and create a bigger village.

Our Christmas Tree
This year's motif... blue and silver... I borrowed the whole decor set from a family friend. They got 3 set of 3 different theme decors. I just can't afford to buy decors or change every year. And it was tiring to keep on looking at my red and gold decors for the past 6 years?

What did you do to your face?
I can't believe what I just saw at work last week.
A guy got tattooed all over his face and forehead, all around the neck and hands. I guess the whole body is tattooed too. The one on his face looks like a puzzle. He also got cuts on both ears, 4 cuts per ear (looks likes a zigzag). He also got 2 bumps on his forehead. And his tongue is split in half!!! (This I didn't see, I was too far from him, but my co-worker saw it when he talked to him). Eeeewwww... I can't even really looked at him as it's grosses me out. I don't know what you would call that one. I guess he thinks he's a serpent or something?
And he was traveling with a girl, looks normal to me, but I guess she's not if she is with somebody that looks like him.
So stressed out!
The past few weeks has been horrible... I am so stressed out and I am feeling helpless and don't know what to do anymore! Somebody please help me!
Winter months is upon us...
This is our second heavy snowfall for this winter... it is sooooooo cooooold!!! We're expecting 10-20 cm of snow... Stay warm and dry everyone!

A mother and daughter traveling together... daughter is wearing a micro mini dress with a run on her black panty hose... worst? I can see the lines on the panty hose that is supposed to be hidden from public view! To the mother: what the hell???
If you were my daughter, I would locked you up in your room! No way a daughter of mine will be out in the public dress like that!
