Conversation #2

I got this from my inbox -- "A first grade teacher had twenty-five students in her class and she presented each child in her class the first half of a well known proverb and asked them to come up with the remainder of the proverb".....

Here's the version of my 8-year old son... all I can say is "kakaaliw!" --

  1. You can't teach an old dog new ..... tricks.
  2. If at first you don't succeed ..... try and try again.
  3. Where there's smoke there's ..... fire.
  4. Better late than ..... sorry.
  5. No news is ..... bad news.
  6. Never underestimate the power of ..... GOD.
  7. It's always darkest before ..... morning.
  8. If you lie down with dogs, you'll ..... get hurt.
  9. Don't put off till tomorrow what ..... you need.
  10. Two's company, three's ..... companies.
  11. Don't bite the hand that ..... eats.
  12. A penny saved is ..... change.
  13. The pen is mightier than the ..... pencil.
Now, it's your turn to finish to sentence....
