3 more days to go...

and I have not bought any gifts for my kids! I've been sick this whole week with sore throat, cough and on and off fever and migrain. I've been sleeping a lot and drinking lots of liquid... still I feel like I am getting worst everyday!

I know what to get my daughter coz she just gave me her wish list... but my son was to lazy to make his wish list, so I don't really have an idea of what he wants. Maybe its about time I give him cash this Christmas, what do you think?

He's too young for me to give him cash. Maybe you just have to buy whatever you think he needs. You could always exchange or return it.
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Sorry to hear about being sick. I hope you will get better soon!

I think it's pretty alright to give him cash for as long as you guide him what to buy after or suggest to have it saved in the bank, etc. It's good to train our kids how to manage their own money (I'm sure you already train them at a very young age).

I hope you get well soon. Merry Christmas to the whole family!

Hi Agring,
My son have a savings account, so I just thought I would encourage him to save more.

Hi Denden,
Thanks! Have a safe trip!

Hi Girlie,
The question now is how much is enough?

Hi Joy,
I would say that he is train on that aspect. Thanks!

Have plenty of rest Jo.

I think it's a good idea to give him cash, I think he's old enough to handle the money and also its time for him to learn how to keep and save it.

Hi Jo. Sorry to hear that you're feeling a bit under the weather. Hope you get well soon esp. now that Christmas is just around the corner.

I think there's nothing wrong with giving him cash. I'm sure it will make him feel that you trust him now that he's a little older.

Take care,
Rach

Hi Tintin, Raquel, Rach, Ethel and Cess,

I decided to buy him the harry potter books (2) instead. We'll see how he likes it.

The doctor doesn't want to give me antibiotics... I hate feeling sick all week!

get well soon, jo! is it the weather? i know you're used to toronto's temp but calgary is colder.

only you can tell if your son is ready to handle money on his own.

in my opinion though, i would prefer to buy him a gift because i think opening a present is still a thrill. you can put the cash in a giftbox and wrap it.

naku christmas shopping stress yan, pahinga ka muna.

oks lang naman siguro bigay cash sa anak mo basta check mo nalang kung ano binili nya, at least malalaman mo na kung pwede na siyang pagkatiwalaan sa pera...

not much i guess...di pa naman nila alam ang value ng money...and they have to make do with what was given...hindi yan sila magrereklamo...you know kids, happy sila even with 10, 20 30 pesos or dollars in your case =)

I hope complete na ang shopping mo! ;-)

Sobrang lamig kasi kaya uso talaga ang sakit, lalo dyan na nagyeyelo kahit sino magkakasakit. Saka napagod ka kasi sa paglilipat.

Merry Christmas!

Poor Jo. Still sick at Christmas time. At least you have your kids to keep you company. Don't worry about blogging or bloghopping. Your blogger friends like me understand. It's the weather.
About your son, there's always the feast of the three kings on january to give him a gift. Sort of like observing it the way the 3 kings gave gifts to the child Jesus. Other families do that. That is, give gifts on the feast of the 3 kings instead of christmas. Happy new year, JO! :)
