Photo Hunters #1: Memory

Memory from the past

This was the first time somebody drew a picture of me. He was a college friend of mine, currently living in Hongkong with his wife and 2 kids. I'm always an admirer of his drawings. His drawings were the reason we became friends. And seeing this picture was really flattering and made me totally speechless. Thanks Lam! I hope being a father doesn't stop you from your drawings!
A theme is given each Saturday. Post a photo that best represents the theme. New and old photos welcome. Movie Marathon #4

During the holiday season, while I was sick with a flu, I am just glad there were some nice movies on TV. I've watched these movies for the very first time, and they were all good movies - funny, action-pack and heartwarming stories. If you haven't seen them, I suggest you try to watch them.

Yes, we don't have a TV [yet] in the house, but my PC have a TV card. I still get to watch TV shows in my computer, while blogging. ",)

Blogging while watching "Numbers"
  • Vertical Limit -- Chris O'Donnel Robin Tunney and Bill Paxton, 2000
A K2 climbing party becomes trapped and it is up to experienced and daring Peter Garrett to retrieve them. His ragtag rescue group is skeptical on the chances of their survival, Peter has no choice but to press on since his sister is one of the climbers imprisoned within the snow.

  • Bed of roses -- Christian Slater and Mary Stuart Masterson, 1996
Christian Slater stars as a Wall Street hustler who turns in his career after his wife and baby die during childbirth. Instead, Slater dedicates himself to providing moments of joy as the owner of a flower shop. When he notices Mary Stuart Masterson weeping at her window, he delivers an anonymous bouquet that changes both of their lives.

  • Surviving Christmas -- Ben Affleck and Christina Applegate, 2004
A lonely man tries to find warmth and holiday cheer by renting a family to share in the joys of the Christmas but things don't necessarily go according to his plans.

  • Boat trip -- Cuba Gooding Jr and Horatio Sanz, 2002
Jerry and Nick are two best buddies whose love lives have hit rock bottom, Jerry's especially, having just vomited all over his fiance on a hot air balloon trip prior to proposing to her. To escape their troubles and find women, they book a trip on board a cruise-liner, unaware the travel agent has just played a horrid trick on them in retaliation for Nick offending his secret gay lover. And that's the trick - it's a gay cruise-liner for gay men to make out. And slowly but surely, the dim-witted duo begin to realize this.

  • Frantic -- Harrison Ford, 1988
While in Paris attending a conference, Dr. Richard Walker's wife Sondra mysteriously disappears. When the French police prove to be of little help, he begins the search by himself. What he finds is a confusing mix-up, but one that could prove to be extremely dangerous and would perhaps be even more so if the police got involved.

Hi Pining,
Thanks and welcome to my blog!

Hi Rach,
I'm getting better na, thanks. Lam is not a professional artist, but he just loves to draw.

Hi Ann,
Yup, I sold our 5 year old TV in Toronto. Due for replacement na din, kaya lang wala pa sa budget.

Hi Raquel,
Wala akong ma-post for TT this week eh.

Hi Cess,
I don't think so. He's good at drawing anime.

Don't you just admire people who can draw? I do, because I can only manage stick people in my drawings. :)

That's a great memory and a great drawing.

Hi Leah,
Thanks!

Hi Angelo,
Yes, we still keep in touch thru YM and emails and egroup.

Hi Lightseeker,
Welcome to my blog!

Hi Cruise,
Ganda ng Vertical Limit no? Ganyan na ako ka-outdated sa mga movies... nung nasa pinas pa ako, hubby and I were in the movie house at least once/twice a week! Those were the days!

Hi Irene,
This is the second time na sabay tayong online sa blog ko... :-)

Yes, I really admire people who can draw that is why I am encouraging my daughter to draw more. Hopefully she will become an artist someday.

I envy people who can draw lifelike pictures. Stickmen are the best I can do.
Mine is up too.

That's a really great drawing, I've always wanted to draw well, like that... but never went that far with it (meaning, I can't draw that well)... Thanks for sharing!

I'm really flattered, for all these years, you still kept it.

Thanks,
