Knock Knock

Hubby and I have been good friends since we met in college. This "knock knock" jokes happened before I even knew that he was planning on courting me. At that time, Ogie Alcasid's Nandito Ako was very famous and was one of my favorite song.

Hubby: "Knock, knock"
Me: "Who's there?"
Hubby: "Danding Cojuangco" [a Filipino politician]
Me: "Danding Cojuangco who?"
Hubby: "Danding Cojuangco [nandito ako], umiibig sa yo, kahit na nagdurugo ang puso..." [Here I am, loving you, even though my heart is broken...]

I sat there thinking "is he trying to tell me something?" But then I immediately got rid of that thought. I keep telling myself that we were just friends. Nothing else. I'm just not used to people liking me in a romantic way. ",)
