She won! She got her Casio Privia PX-700 last Sept 19. I bought a refurbished one at London Drugs. And they gave me a $200 discount. It did have a little scratch on the side of the stand, but that's okay. The keys seems to be functioning well and it has a 1 year warranty. I will have to ask the piano teacher on Thursday to make sure that the sound of the keys are all okay.
My other option was a Casio Privia PX-120 at Costco. It's brand new. But for the same price as the PX-700, I decided to buy the higher model.
She started her formal piano lessons last August... and she is very good! So how could I say no when she needed the 88-keys keyboard as compared to her 60-keys keyboard? And the songs that she's playing sounded better too! It is definitely a good buy despite me having to forego my laptop [for the meantime].
How could I say no???

Wow, Trisha is interested on her piano lesson. Keep it up Trish!
I like the stand, it looks very expensive.
I'm sure she will treasure this gift forever :)
it's nice, jo.
Hi Raquel, Kai and Evi,
It's the cheapest one in the market...
She loves it. She has been practicing everyday since we got it. And she's been playing very well. I will try to share a video soon.
of course, you couldn't say no! i should save for one myself. i think one way to tickle my daughter's interest to play the piano is if she hears and sees me play (not that i'm good). hee hee. we have a roland keyboard which we bought 2nd hand from hubby's japanese colleague. i have to get around to buying a stand though! *whacks self on the head*
bait talaga ni mommy
The piano seem fit to her, medium size. This is sure a family of music lover. I always think to give piano lesson for my daugther. But thinking of the cost here. Pheww!
Hi Weng,
The teacher said that she has student as young as 4-year olds... so its never too early for your daughter.
Hi Girlie,
Thanks! As if we mothers have a choice.
Hi Asmaliana,
It's not cheap here too, but it is worth it! Especially once you hear your daughter play beautifully.
I hope Patricia will enjoy playing beautiful music on her new piano.
Hi Rach,
Thanks! She's enjoying it and she's practicing more often than before.
