My son is scared of this kind of rides... we had a summer pass at Canada's Wonderland in 2006 and he only enjoyed the water part of the park. While my daughter tried every ride that she can ride.
This year though, he was brave enough to try multiple of rides like the above picture including the Vortex at Calaway Park. Thanks to the influence of his playmates who loves to try different rides.

I'm not that adventurous when it comes to rides after getting on one where I felt so dizzy. :(
Happy PH! check out my entry for today.

That looks like a really scary ride. I admire Patricia's strong spirit when it comes to trying out scary rides at amusement parks.
that is one scary ride. I'm afraid of heights
Hope you visit my entry for Photohunt: Scary have a great day
That's nice that Patricia is not scared of rides. I used to be brave but now I'm scared to go on those rides anymore esp. the roller coaster. I get dizzy easily now!

We can't blame them, rides are really scary with young children :)
Have a great weekend, Jo.
i don't like roller coaster rides, its better to ride horsy horsy hehehehhe
my daughter also is not afraid of heights. it's a good thing she's not and she'd influenced my son who was at the time very scared of these rides. but for me, i am scared to death! ha ha
Hi Carey,
Oh I love roller coaster rides, that is why I am encouraging my kids to try it out too.
Hi Rach,
You should encourage Yohan too.
Hi Aerin,
It's not really that scary... I think they rode this like 2-3 times.
Seeing that ride made me think of the time I was sick from riding something similar at Hersheypark and had to sit about an hour before I felt better. They do scare me-anything that spins around.
Thanks for visiting my blog too.
Hi Agring,
Now, our whole family loves it! Wish we have more amusement park here though.
Hi Julie,
Enjoy your weekend too!
Hi John,
To each his own.
Hi Bingskee,
It is fun! Try it!
Oh dear! Those kinds of rides are scary to me, now, too! I used to go on themas a kid, but how I ever managed it, I don't know!
I hope you have time to come see my scary photos, and leave your link, too. http://newyorktraveler.net/photo-hunters-scary/
So much fun & scary!
This reminds me of John Pinnette, the comedian. His friends were always trying to get him on the scary rides.
Friend: "John. Don't worry. It has a safety belt."
John: "Do you know why? BECAUSE IT IS NOT SAFE!!"
Baker
(Thanks for dropping by earlier)
I find many of these rides scary, so I don't blame him one bit!
well, i'm scared of riding this one, too! :)
my PH entry.
Not only scary, but nauseating!
Scary ride! nothing for me!
Happy weekend :)
Looks like fun to me
I used to be able to ride things like that! But since I became a mom, I haven't been able to! Good for your son, though for facing up to his fears and riding one!
Here's mine: http://dragynm.wordpress.com/2008/10/25/photo-hunt-scary/
That kind of ride would scare me, too. Good post.
wow... that ride surely look scary. i thought its breaking! i guess it just flip. ehehe..
mine is up HERE
Wow that ride looks scary. It was brave of him to go on it. I don't think I would.
grabe nakakatakot! tumabingi ang ferris wheel! hehe.. :) must be really exciting for thrillseekers out there.
Too "Scary" for this old gal. I like to keep my feet on terra firma! Nice choice for the theme - those rides are very scary (and when you are young - a whole lot of fun!)
It looks very scary to me too!
Hi Baker,
LOL!
To ALL!
Thanks for stopping by my PH.
He's barve. i don't like any of those rides.
Yep that is scary I am with your son on that one!
Have a great weekend!
Amanda
Hi Liz and Amanda,
Thanks! He is a growing boy! And I'm glad he likes trying new things.
I have to admit this is scary to me...although the rest of my family loves these rides. I say "no thanks!"
I like coasters, but not all coasters. I would definitely stay away from the wooden ones. They just don't feel stable enough to me, besides, they make my teeth go against each other like you wouldn't believe.
If my children will try any rides of that kind then it would be me who will be scared to death..
Oh Dear I don't blame him. It scares me just looking at it!! Great pick!!:-))
Hi Ladies,
Thank you all for stopping by... see you around...
geez, I'm really scared of that ride and I don't plan in riding that in the near future.
I don't ride those kind of rides...too scary! I stick with the merry-go-round! ;0)
Hi Me and Tracey,
Thanks for stopping by...
