Here's a recap of our first 4 days... and the next 5 days...
Day 10 to 12 - Iba, Zambales
After the wedding, its time to hit the beach. We left noon time in Paranaque and headed to Zambales. We took the new SCTEX [Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway] to Subic. The highway was basically empty, I don't know if its because of the toll fee or because its a holiday. Anyway, we reached Subic around 3pm, had a late lunch and headed off to Iba in search of a resort.
After looking at 3 resorts, we ended up at "Bakasyunan sa Baybay Dagat." We got the VIP room for the price of their standard/basic room! We really got a good deal since the whole resort was isolated. They even have a pool with slide that we got to use for free but there's an additional charge during peak season. The only problem is because its off season, their restaurant is basically useless as they don't store any food unless its pre-ordered ahead of time. It's a good thing that Jollibee and Chowking are just 10 minutes away. Another problem is because they are not located along the main road, they don't have internet access.
We checked in around 5:30pm already and hubby and the kids hit the pool while I try to arrange for our dinner. They did manage to serve us with fried rice and sisig. That's it!
On our second day at the resort -- We had a late breakfast at Chowking and we also ordered take out for our lunch and dinner. Then hubby and the kids hit the beach while I stayed inside the room watching TV! Would you believe that its my first time to watch TV since we reached Manila?

I really missed the beauty of our coconut trees!

On our third day, its check out time. We left around 11am and went straight to Subic for a late lunch at Yellow Cab. And then we proceeded to check out the new theme parks but ended up dissappointed. We only have 2 hours before closing, I feel that the entrance fee is too much for the 4 of us.
And because of color coding, we can't go back to Manila before 7pm, so we ended up at SM Pampanga to shop for more kids stuff. We left 6:30pm just in time for me to reach Makati at 8:15pm for a late dinner with my high school friends at Yoho in Greenbelt 5. Hubby and the kids decided to go to Timezone while waiting for me.
Day 13 - Thursday - Errands
We went to our bank in Makati to closed our accounts with them... then proceeded to Masangkay to meet another friend and drop off some pictures for my parents... and then hubby went for another massage at MOA while I shop for some toys for hubby's nephews and niece.
Then we had dinner with hubby's family at Las Paellas in BF. I love their paella and lengua. Though the paella is a little bit salty. But nevertheless, they are both my favorite food!

My 2 favorite dishes!
We were so hungry that I almost forgot to take pictures.

Day 14 - Friday - Packing day
We had lunch at my brother-in-law's new house at Raya Gardens. And the kids had some cousin-bonding time!

Patricia with Miguel holding Rafael and Patrick is holding Alex.

Kristine [sister of Rafael] is too camera and people shy to join the group. Later we proceeded to MOA [again] for my massage followed by a dinner with my friends at Seaside Macapagal.
And then its was time to pack. We got 3 luggages and 1 box when we reached Manila... now, I still got 3 luggages plus 3 boxes and another small luggage to be check-in. This is because of the new weight limit per bag imposed by the airlines... what used to be 70 lbs per bag is now down to 50 lbs per bag. Arrrgh!
Day 15 - Saturday - Time to go back to Canada
Since I was packing till about 2am, I woke up at 10am and had to prepare and leave an SPA behind, make photocopies of IDs... and still did some repacking since 2 of my luggages are overweight! Haaaayyy....
For our last meal in Manila, we had Lengua and Paella [again] and some banana-Q! Yummmy!
Our flight left at 5:30pm [30 minutes behind] and we arrived at Taipei around 7:25pm. Since our layover was 4 hours long, I've arranged to meet my cousins and their family at the airport. It was really good to see them after 7 long years. My kids had fun playing with her kids! For me, this was the best part of my vacation!

Patrick, Patricia, Heather and Jarred

We left Taipei at 11:35pm and arrived at Calgary 11:35pm [and still saturday!]
15 days of fun, pampering, shopping, and lots of laughter with hugs and kisses, and non-stop eating!
15 days of no laundry, no cooking and no house chores for me! Yey!
But it didn't spare us from doing homework! Yes, both my kids have school work that needs to be done. You will see them doing homework while waiting for our flight at the airport, while on the plane and even at night while in Zambales!
And so that ends our trip! It was all a dream come true!
