My son - the teen- just got his first card too! He was so happy! I'm sure she must be so excited too...definitely a great lesson for them to learn while they are young =) Great job!!!

This is a long overdue bank account that I promised her. It's only a savings account, so she can't make any withdrawals at all. But nevertheless, she's very happy to have her own bank card.

WOW what a great idea! How old is she? We have a 9 year old son....considering this for him.
This is a great idea. H & I have been wondering when the best age to open a bank account for a child is. We definitely want Timmy to have his own. Financial consciousness at an early age is good!

I think Patricia's age [9] is a perfect age to start a savings account for her. She is already aware of how much is in her bank account and will be encourage to save for the future and spent as little as possible.
