Here's some pictures from our last weekend getaway - Jasper National Park, Alberta.

On our way to Sunwapta Falls, a Canadian black bear decided to cross the road. This was the first of the 3 bears that we saw during this trip.
We were stuck in traffic for 30 minutes outside Lake Louise because of a small bear on top of the hill [our 3rd bear sighting].

These are amazing. The bear shots are awesome!
Wonderful shots. What a great place to visit and thanks for the tour.
You wondered why there weren't any people in the park I shot for mine. It had started raining. I had an umbrella and was walking, with my daughter who was traveling with me, to a coffee house across from the park. There were a bunch of people playing and then when it rained they all crowded into a shelter.
Great photos and a great place to visit too. Love the bear shot. :)

Hi Sandy, Carver, Liz, Jenn, Dora, Stan, Monica and Jessie,
Thanks for stopping by... Yes, we were lucky to see some bears up close.
What beautiful spot for a great adventure. It's nice to know there are still some wild spots left on the planet.

Great pictures. I love mountain views. The bear shots are awesome.
What an amazing place. We visited the Texas hill country over the weekend, but the dry conditions kept the water from being a highlight.
Looks like lack of water is not a problem at Jasper. Just beautiful, and thanks for the glimpse of what I might get to see when I finally visit a Canadian friend next year.
Absolutely amasing. Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures! Happy WW!
You did all that in a weekend!??
I'm dying to see Glacier National Park.. is this close to that??
And a recall on the D5000?? CRAP! Lemme know where you saw that??
That's awesome! I'm so jealous you saw bears. i was really hoping to see some in Tahoe but didn't have any luck!
BTW I shot iso 400 f/5.6 1/45
Hi SKaur, Kaye, Irina, LifeRamblings, Mgales, Jennifer,
Thanks for stopping by.
Hi Seher,
That's one of the reason why I do WW...
Hi Mark,
The Medicine Lake is actually a dead water. Lots of fly out there.
Hi Carissa,
Yes, 2 days only... and I had over 600+ pictures.
Hi Tonya,
Thanks! I hope I take some good sunset shot this weekend.
may we swap places ;)
Utterly Speechful
Very pretty! We last drove through that area about 13 years ago! But no bears then. I've never seen one in the wild...
Great shots and beautiful scenery. We have black bears here and they are quite something when you encounter them close up while hiking. They always run as fast as they can away from you, so no danger. I'll never forget the time in Yellowstone when we encounter 3 big brown bears. They just stood and looked at us and we backed away very slowly!
Absolutely wonderful
Happy WW

Hi Esme,
We've been driving through Banff a lot over the past 2 years, and this is our first bear sighting.
Hi Will,
That must be a scary moment for you guys.
Thanks Desi, and Ita.
What great photos... Man, I can't believe it. I almost fainted here in my sit seeing that bear. OMG!!
WOW!!! That bear!
The only bears I get to see are the ones that require admission fees at the local zoo.
My kids would have been thrilled if they ever saw a bear crossing the freeway like that :P
