The problem with having a Facebook and a Blog

Like millions of people around the world, I am hooked up on Facebook and blogging. But the foremost problem with having both, is that once people see your update in Facebook, they will no longer be interested to check out your blog.

Same thing for me, I rarely blog hop anymore. I just kept in touch with my blogger friends through Facebook.

So what's the point of maintaining both?

That's right Jo, i agree. I am not active in friendster and fb. I feel more comfortable writing in my own blog. My facebook is for family only specially in sharing photos and those photos are exclusive with them. just to keep in touch sa kanila.

fb is easy to communicate with friends. kung blogging kase you need to think pa kung ano ang isusulat.

Hi Raquel,
Definitely nabawasan na ang readers ko dito. Don't know if it's due to the SP posts or because of FB. Oh well... hope you are all doing well.

Thanks for the reply Jo. I think the reason is SP. Hindi pa in ang FB noon but my readers started to vanish too. Ha-ha...oh well nga, matira matibay.

I counted you as one of my good friends in blogging. Thank you for the constant visit in my blog.

Hi Jo. I admit FB has eaten my time but I want to change things this year and go back to blogging. The problem is I don't seem to know where to start. I have so many things I want to share. I feel overwhelmed but I will be back soon.

I havent stopped even if i lost half of my readers. My motivation to Blog is for me to read it 10 years from now and remember what happened that day.

Facebook is for updating now. No one can review what happened or what your status update is a year ago, much less yesterday. No one really cares. It's all now.

We haven't even discussed Twitter :)

Hi Rach,
Past is past, no need to blog about those... just blog about the present, then it won't be too overwhelming.

Hi Junnie,
Yup, you're right. I should keep my blog... and I don't want/need Twitter.
