till the end of tax season... if you haven't file your income tax, now is the time...
Growing old
People say that if you want to find out what your husband/wife would look like in his/her 60s, look at their father or mother.
I guess with hubby, I will never have to find cures for hair loss. Their whole family got really thick hair.
As for me, I need to make sure my hair get all the conditioning that it needs and keep it healthy to lessen falling hair.
I've lost 9 lbs!
Eversince my doctor told me that I am close to being a diabetic. I went straight to diet. I haven't had a coke in 3 weeks! And I lessen the carbs that I am eating. It's a good thing that I don't have problems with my cholesterol yet, so I can eat as much meat as I can. During these 3 weeks, I've lost 9 lbs already! This just show that one doesn't need those fitness equipment to lose weight.
Reading glasses
I swear, the prints on the tax slips are getting smaller each year. And I don't like to use magnifying glass in front of my clients.
I really need to search for discount prescription glasses. I really need a pair of reading glasses. I just need to wait 4 more months till my insurance will cover it. Another sign of me getting old! Arrgh!

Pet peeve
My son likes to collect old and new batteries. I don't know why. The problem is he doesn't differentiate or separate the old and new ones. They are all mixed up in a small drawer. When I was cleaning up his room lsat week, I basically had to throw everything out! What a waste... and yet again, today, he somehow got hold of a new set of batteries.
Modern furniture
What I love about a new office building are the modern office furniture. I especially like office furniture in red! It just give the office a chic look. Check out the link and you might find something that you will like. I already found something for my future home office once the basement is done. But then the development of my basement will have to wait next year. Because this June, I am going home to attend a wedding.
Compare rates online
When I was still back home, I honestly don't know a single thing about browing or surfing the internet. I don't know those online YM chats and the likes. All I know is how to access my email from work, and some microsoft software.
Now, my husband cannot imagine the things that I am able to do and find online. Take for example looking for the best insurance quote that we could possibly find. Or even searching for airfares and vacation packages.
Spring break
My kids are very excited for three reasons. First is that it is their spring break, 6 days of no school. Second is that we just got them new bikes today. They just have to wait till it warms up a little. Third is that they are going to see their grandma tomorrow. We will be picking her up at the airport around 1:30pm. I'm hoping that the office will not call me to go to work tomorrow. I hate running around the city all day.
Busy, busy me
Tax season is always a hard time for me. This is my 6th year doing taxes and I always work long hours, average of 8-12 hours a day, sometimes even longer than 12 hours. And I only do this because I love doing taxes and tax season for me is just 10 weeks long. I usually start mid of February till end of April.
When I get home, some days I still have to do taxes for my friends. Other days, I do laundry, iron clothes, clean the house, help my kids with their homework and cook.
Lately, my daughter has been sleeping in our bed. Finally, I asked her why, and she said the she wanted to wait for me to come home but couldn't stay awake. And she's been asking me when will tax season be over.
10 weeks out of 52 weeks is simply a sacrifice I have to do. And my kids and hubby knows that. 30 more days to go...
Happy Easter!!!
From my inbox...

I will be working this long weekend... so if you are not working, enjoy your holidays!
It is possible after all...
People around me seems to be into diet pills and fat burners. I wonder if it is about time that I try it too. My doctor said I need to lose weight and to get to the ideal weight for my height, I need to lose some 40 pounds! I am not even sure if it is achievable for me. But so far, I have stopped drinking coca-cola already. And if you knew me, you would know that I am an addict when it comes to drinking sodas. It's like water for me.
On Budgeting
I believe that I am good at handling money and at budgeting. I know how to prioritize things. I know how to maximize the use of credit cards without having to pay penalties and interest.
Even my friends likes talking to me about finances because they get to learn a few tricks here and there. Maybe I should just start giving budgeting advice to people. Every little cost cutting will definitely go a long, long way.
Home Renovation Tax Credit
This Home Renovation Tax Credit that Canada Revenue Agency introduced last year was really good for both home owners and small businesses.
People are happy to have this Home Renovation Tax Credit as they were able to develop their basement, repair things that needed to be repaired, and buy new stuff like Grohe faucets, furnace, water tank... and a whole lot more.
I wish that it wasn't a one time deal though. I really wanted to develop our basement, but due to budget, we just couldn't.
Vitamins for acne
I've never heard of this before. But I just found out that there are vitamins for acne. They say that vitamin deficiencies often resulted in acne breakouts. Well, depending on your skin type, you might want to check out Acnepril, Orovo Acne and Acenticin. They are the top three acne vitamins in the market today.
Diabetic am I?
My family doctor just gave me the bad news! My sugar level is too high. I am close to being diabetic she said. So before she starts me on medication, she ask me to diet and exercise to lose weight. I have 3 months before my next blood test.
I cannot believe that it is possible, but I have not drink a drop of coke for almost 2 weeks now. And I am tempted to try some diet pills to lose weight faster, but am afraid of the diet pill side effects. Is it possible to lose weight without side effects?
