When I made my very first trip to the US in 1993, I was so amazed at the automatic garage door. Just one click a block away, and it opens the garage door. Back then, that's something I've never seen in the Philippines. We would always have to blow our horn to have the maid or security guard open the door for us.

And in the side of the world where Do-It-Yourself is the in thing, availability of garage door parts makes it very convenient for people to fix it themselves.
